Print advertisements: All ads published in the journal Moving Mountains (MM) will be mirrored in the Himalayan Journal of Sciences (HJS). All ad revenues will be split three ways, shared equally by Moving Mountains, Himalayan Journal of Sciences, and the Hillary Medal (HM).
Web advertisements: In the short term, while there is plenty of space on MM and HM, all pledged advertisers will be able post "reasonable size" ads free of charge on one of the main pages on both the MM and the HM Web sites, to be filled according to Web site policy. Eventually, the ad space will be limited to approximately 180 pixels by 200 pixels per quarter page of print advertisement.
Ad space may be purchased on the Web sites at the rate of $100 for each 180 pixels by 200 pixels (appearing in both MM and HM).
Rates for journal ads will be as indicated in the table below. If rates increase after the first year, they will remain at first-year levels for those who buy space in the first issue.

Advertising pledges will on a good-faith basis: no contract will be expected until June 1, 2010, although advertisers may wish to make a deposit of 25% to secure premium space.
